NORADRENALINE PRINT

A hormone, also called norepinephrine in the US, which is secreted by the adrenal glands and causes constriction of blood vessels, thus increasing blood pressure and heart rate. Noradrenaline is also active in the nervous system, where it is released by specific nerve endings during the transmission of nervous impulses. See also ADRENALINE.
