ENTEROCUTANEOUS FISTULA PRINT

A fistula is an abnormal passage or communication between an internal organ to the surface of the body or leading from an internal organ to the surface of the body. Enterocutaneous fistulas occur most frequently secondary to abdominal surgery but may also be a consequence of inflammatory bowel disease, malignancy, radiation, or trauma. Such fistulas may also be created intentionally in certain circumstances.
